Basketball Game Preview: Arrowhead Christian Academy Eagles vs. BASIS - Peoria

The Arrowhead Christian Academy Eagles will challenge BASIS - Peoria at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Arrowhead Christian Academy sitting on three straight wins and BASIS - Peoria on four.

Last Friday, Arrowhead Christian Academy beat Tri-City Christian Academy 38-26.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Arrowhead Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Leah Rubio, who went 9 for 21 on her way to 20 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Rubio has scored at least a third of Arrowhead Christian Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyra Beilke, who posted ten points in addition to seven boards and four steals.

Arrowhead Christian Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in February of 2024.

Meanwhile, BASIS - Peoria was fully in charge on Wednesday, breezing past Verde Valley 37-10. BASIS - Peoria has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 23 points or more this season.

BASIS - Peoria's victory bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Arrowhead Christian Academy, they pushed their record up to 9-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.
