Baseball Preview: Sheldon Huskies vs. Elk Grove Thundering Herd
Sheldon is 0-10 against Elk Grove since May of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Sheldon Huskies will head out on the road to face off against the Elk Grove Thundering Herd at 4:00 p.m. Sheldon will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
Sheldon scored the most runs they've had all season to find success on Monday. They put the hurt on West Campus with a sharp 19-0 victory. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought contest, but Elk Grove had to settle for a 4-3 defeat against Pleasant Grove on Friday.
Elk Grove also got a good showing from Colton Lincoln, who didn't allow a single earned run and only two hits over four innings pitched. Lincoln has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up a single walk in four consecutive pitching appearances.
At the plate, Evan Gentil was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with a home run and two RBI.
