Basketball Recap: Southern Lee Cavaliers vs. Hoke County Bucks
Southern Lee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 58-53 heartbreaker at the hands of the Hoke County Bucks. The Cavaliers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bucks earlier this season, when they won 52-36.
Karmen Campbell was a one-woman wrecking crew for Hoke County as she dropped a double-double on 19 points and 14 rebounds. Campbell has been hot recently, having posted eight or more boards the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Jada Bowers, who posted six points in addition to seven rebounds and five assists.
