Basketball Recap: Little Falls Falls Short of Alexandria in the Playoffs

Little Falls and Alexandria squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Little Falls had to settle for second. They were beaten by the Alexandria Cardinals 115-41. The loss continues a trend for the Flyers in their meetings with the Cardinals: they've now lost eight in a row.

Alexandria's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Gavin Roderick, who went 11-for-17 to rack up 26 points. Roderick is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Chase Thompson, who shot 83% from the field en route to 21 points.

Little Falls' defeat dropped their record down to 3-22. As for Alexandria, the win was the 20th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 24-3.

Little Falls does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Alexandria, they will challenge Detroit Lakes at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
