It was a proper cat-fight when Elmore County faced off against Chilton County on Thursday. The Panthers claimed a resounding 28-0 win over the Tigers. Considering the Panthers have won five games by more than 23 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Elmore County's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Gage Davis led the charge by throwing for 190 yards and three touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes. Eli Thames helped Davis out on the ground, rushing for 82 yards and one score.

The victory (which was Elmore County's third in a row) raised their record to 7-3. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 35.0 points over those games. As for Chilton County, they dropped their record down to 1-9 with the loss, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Elmore County will venture away from home to challenge Demopolis at 7:00 p.m. on the 7th. Chilton County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
