Football Recap: Louisville Takes a Loss

Louisville fell victim to Concordia and their airtight defense on Friday. They took a blow against the Mustangs, falling 32-0. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mustangs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Brady Abbott threw for 26 yards on two of five attempts. On the ground, Hunter Gaebel rushed for 34 yards.

Drew Kulus had a dynamite game For Concordia., rushing for 125 yards and one TD on only 13 carries, while also throwing for 105 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Kulus didn't just play on offense: he also made four total tackles and defended one pass. Cole Hynek was another key player, rushing for 84 yards on only seven carries.

Louisville now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Concordia, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Louisville wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 48-28 win against Palmyra on the 19th. As for Concordia, they have also already played their next contest, a 42-27 victory against Falls City on the 19th.
