Football Game Preview: Jensen Beach Falcons vs. Spanish River Sharks

The Jensen Beach Falcons will venture away from home to square off against the Spanish River Sharks at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Jensen Beach sitting on three straight victories and Spanish River on five.

Jensen Beach's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past Sebastian River 28-0. Considering the Falcons have won three contests by more than 27 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Paige Bressman continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 303 yards and four touchdowns while completing 74% of her passes. Those 303 passing yards gave her a new career-high. 101 of Bressman's passing yards were hauled in by Lizzie Fitzwater, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Jensen Beach didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jayla Brinkley and Ashlyn Otton.

Meanwhile, Spanish River got the win against Osceola on Saturday by a conclusive 38-12. The Sharks are also no stranger to big wins: their blowout was the fifth match they've won by 20+ points this season.

Jensen Beach's record now sits at 3-1. As for Spanish River, their record now sits at 5-0.

Jensen Beach suffered a grim 34-13 defeat to Spanish River in their previous matchup back in April of 2023. Can Jensen Beach avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
