Preview: Oakland Wildcats vs. San Gabriel Academy Eagles
The Oakland Wildcats are on the road again on Monday and play against the San Gabriel Academy Eagles at 1:30 p.m. on December 18th. Hopefully Oakland focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Tuesday.
Oakland scored the most points they've had all season to find success. They snuck past Culver City with a 68-64 win. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Oakland got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jonathan Chapple out in front who scored 12 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Zaymani Mitchell, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, San Gabriel Academy took a serious blow against Damien on Wednesday, falling 81-43. San Gabriel Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-13.
Oakland's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for San Gabriel Academy, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
