Basketball Game Preview: Parsippany Redhawks vs. West Morris Mendham Minutemen

The Parsippany Redhawks will head out on the road to take on the West Morris Mendham Minutemen at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Parsippany is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53 points per game this season.

Parsippany is headed into the match having just suffered their closest defeat since January 24, 2024 on Saturday. They fell just short of Midland Park by a score of 53-50.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Alex Schmieder, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 15 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Thomas Niedermaier, who went 6 of 15 en route to 19 points and six rebounds.

Even though they lost, Parsippany smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, West Morris Mendham put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against Madison by a score of 54-45.

West Morris Mendham's win bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Parsippany, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Parsippany ended up a good deal behind West Morris Mendham in their previous matchup back in February of 2022, losing 54-40. Can Parsippany avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
