Basketball Recap: Bethune-Bowman Comes Up Short

Bethune-Bowman lost against Charleston Math & Science back in February of 2020, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Bethune-Bowman Mohawks lost to the Charleston Math & Science Riptide on the road by a 51-34 margin.

Zion King continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Charleston Math & Science, putting up ten points in addition to six assists and six steals. King is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Ben Gilliard was another key player, posting seven points along with 14 boards and five assists.

Bethune-Bowman's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 8-1 and their overall record down to 17-7. As for Charleston Math & Science, they pushed their record up to 19-4 with the win, which was their 12th straight at home.

Bethune-Bowman does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Charleston Math & Science, they will face off against Green Sea Floyds at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Charleston Math & Science is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.2 points per game this season.
