Basketball Game Preview: Richard Pioneers vs. Divine Child Falcons

The Richard Pioneers will head out to challenge the Divine Child Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Richard knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine matches -- so hopefully Divine Child likes a good challenge.

Last Tuesday, Richard took their game with ease, bagging a 71-14 win over Greenhills. The Pioneers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 27 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Divine Child was just a bucket shy of victory on Tuesday and fell 50-49 to Loyola. The Falcons haven't had much luck with the Bull Dogs recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Richard pushed their record up to 8-2 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 35 points. As for Divine Child, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.

Everything came up roses for Richard against Divine Child when the teams last played back in February of 2024, as the squad secured an 84-49 win. Does Richard have another victory up their sleeve, or will Divine Child turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
