Basketball Recap: Baraboo Comes Up Short

Baraboo was the 54-53 winner over Edgewood when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Baraboo Thunderbirds took a 70-62 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Edgewood Crusaders on Friday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Thunderbirds came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 153rd, while the Crusaders are ranked 309th).

Baraboo's defeat dropped their record down to 13-10. As for Edgewood, their win bumped their record up to 5-18.

When Baraboo and Edgewood next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Baraboo will take on Stoughton and their five-game winning streak at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Edgewood will try to stop Sauk Prairie's three-game winning streak when they meet at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
