Basketball Recap: Knox Takes a Loss

Knox was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were dealt a 71-30 loss at the hands of the Bremen Lions. The Redskins were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2016.

Bremen's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kila Foster led the charge by going 8 for 16 on her way to 23 points and four steals. Eliana Grubbs was another key player, going 9 of 15 on her way to 22 points.

Knox's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Bremen, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 9-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Knox will venture away from home to face off against South Bend St. Joseph at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Bremen, they will head out to challenge Culver Academies at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bremen is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.3 points per game this season.
