Volleyball Recap: Sandy Valley Comes Up Short

Sandy Valley lost against Tuscarawas Central Catholic back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Cardinals lost 3-0 to the Saints. The Cardinals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why Sandy Valley lost, don't look at Landry Little. Despite the final result, she had 24 assists and nine digs. Little is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last five games she's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Teresa Petro, who had nine digs and two blocks.

Sandy Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Tuscarawas Central Catholic, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Looking ahead, Sandy Valley will host Hiland at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Tuscarawas Central Catholic, they will venture away from home to challenge Dalton at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
