Softball Recap: Northridge Drops Highest Score of Season Against Roy

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Northridge). They blew past the Roy Royals 17-1 on Wednesday. With that win, the Knights brought their scoring average up to 6.4 runs per game.

The team relied heavily on Kaydence Chournos, who fired off two home runs, six RBI, and three runs while going 3-for-3. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March. Berklee Larsen was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three runs, two RBI, and one double.

Northridge was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .531. They are 4-2 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

The victory made it two in a row for Northridge and bumps their season record up to 7-14. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for Roy, they are on a 22-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-20.

As of now, neither Northridge nor the Royals have any future games scheduled.
