Softball Preview: Saguaro Sabercats vs. Arcadia Titans
Saguaro is 2-8 against Arcadia since April of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Sabercats will head out to square off against the Titans at 4:00 p.m.
Saguaro is headed into Thursday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Wednesday. They took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of Perry.
Sophia Chouinard made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that she launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Alexa Simpson, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Arcadia entered their tilt with Saguaro on Tuesday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They skirted past the Sabercats 9-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Titans have posted since March 1st.
Jane Ord and Logan Jenkins did most of the damage at the plate: Ord scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4, while Jenkins scored two runs while going 2-for-5.
