The Nathan Hale Raiders will head out on the road to take on the Shorewood Stormrays at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Nathan Hale came out on top against Cleveland on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run first inning. The Raiders were the clear victors by an 8-1 margin over the Eagles.

The team relied heavily on Julian Gonzalez, who went 3-for-5 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Eliot Jennings, who went 2-for-5 with two RBI and one run.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Nathan Hale kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
The home team had come away the winner the last four times Shorewood and Meadowdale had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Stormrays put the hurt on the Mavericks with a sharp 11-3 win last Friday.
Lorenzo Jaramillo and Finn Liekkio did most of the damage at the plate: Jaramillo went 1-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base, while Liekkio got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. That triple was Jaramillo's first of the season. Max Rojas was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Shorewood pushed their record up to 12-4 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for Nathan Hale, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-9-1.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Saturday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Nathan Hale has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.4 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Shorewood struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.9 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
