Volleyball Recap: Robinson Victorious

After losing to South Knox the last time they met, Robinson decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Maroons won by a set and slipped past the Spartans 2-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Maroons.

If you add up the scores from across all three sets (67-61) Robinson actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The final score came out to 11-25, 25-20, 25-22.

Grace Miller paced Robinson's offense, picking up 13 kills. Miller got some help from Sicily Rawlings and her 12 assists. Eva Brashear controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Robinson has also opened the season with a perfect 2-0 record. As for South Knox, their loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Robinson will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Neoga at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for South Knox, they will challenge Vincennes Rivet at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
