Volleyball Recap: Larkin Comes Up Short

Larkin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 24th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Willows Academy Eagles. The Royals were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Larkin's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Willows Academy, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-6.

Larkin wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Walther Christian Academy on the 6th. As for Willows Academy, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against North Shore Country Day on the 6th.
