Soccer Game Preview: Cascade Christian vs. Chimacum

The Cascade Christian Cougars will challenge the Chimacum Cowboys at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Last Tuesday, Cascade Christian didn't have quite enough to beat Vashon Island and fell 3-2. The loss put an end to Cascade Christian's undefeated start to the season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Chimacum). They were the clear victors by a 7-1 margin over Granite Falls on Tuesday. Given Chimacum's advantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 99th, while Granite Falls are ranked 240th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

The win made it two in a row for Chimacum and bumps their season record up to 6-2-1. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored ten goals over those two contests. As for Cascade Christian, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Everything went Cascade Christian's way against Chimacum in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Cascade Christian made off with a 6-2 win. Will the Cougars repeat their success, or do the Cowboys have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
