Recap: Christopher Bearcats vs. Carbondale Terriers
On Friday, Christopher didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Carbondale, but they still walked away with a 54-50 victory. That's two games straight that Christopher has won by exactly four points.
Amiah Hargrove was her usual excellent self, scoring 33 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. That makes it ten consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Christopher's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Londynn Pontious, who scored eight points along with five assists.
The win makes it two in a row for Christopher and bumps their season record up to 9-6. As for Carbondale, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-12.
Christopher and Herrin will face off at 3:00 p.m. on December 29, 2023 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Herrin has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 245 points over their last four matchups. Carbondale and Nashville will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 2nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Nashville's defense has only allowed 28.5 points per game this season, so Carbondale's offense will have their work cut out for Carbondale.
