Volleyball Recap: Weymouth Comes Up Short

Weymouth lost against Brockton back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Wildcats fell just short of the Boxers by a score of 3-2. The Wildcats' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Weymouth took Brockton into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking six-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-21, 12-25, 23-25, 15-9.

Avery Greene paced Weymouth's offense, picking up seven kills. Greene got some help from Alina Goldstein and her 17 assists. Jaelyn O'Hara controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Weymouth's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Brockton, the win keeps them at an undefeated 13-0.

Weymouth wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Braintree on the 7th. As for Brockton, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against Plymouth North on the 6th.
