Georgia high school football is arguably as good as the brand of pigskin played in any other state. Need proof? Two teams from the Peach State enter this week's Xcellent 25 National Football Rankings presented by the Army National Guard.

That brings the number of Georgia teams in the rankings to four.

Roswell (9-0) and Archer (8-1) are both among the country's elite, as Roswell has dominated opponents en route to an unbeaten record thus far and Archer's only loss was a two-point setback to fellow ranked team Grayson.

South Georgia power Colquitt County is the highest-ranked team in the state, holding steady at No. 5 nationally after avoiding a loss at the hands of Tift County.

All four ranked teams from Georgia play in the state's largest classification and could lock horns in the playoffs.
