Soccer Recap: Lead Southeast Comes Up Short

Lead Southeast was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Independence Academy Lions. While losing is never fun, Lead Southeast can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee soccer rankings (they are ranked 248th, while Independence Academy are ranked 34th).

Lead Southeast's goal came courtesy of Ronel Padilla Maldonado, which was the first he's scored this season.

Lead Southeast's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Independence Academy, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-1.

Lead Southeast didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 9-0 victory against Stratford on the 15th. As for Independence Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next game, a 5-2 win against Merrol Hyde Magnet on the 15th.
