Clarkrange takes loss despite strong efforts from Bryton Swallows and Jack Cordell

Recap: Clarkrange Buffaloes vs. Red Boiling Springs Bulldogs

The Clarkrange Buffaloes pushed their score all the way to 58 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 69-58 to Red Boiling Springs. Clarkrange's loss continues a unfortunate trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Clarkrange's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Jack Cordell, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and three steals, and Bryton Swallows who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds. Swallows scored a full 27.6% of Clarkrange's points, the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kristopher Beaty, who scored ten points.

Clarkrange has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season. As for Red Boiling Springs, their victory bumped their record up to 5-7.

Clarkrange will be playing at home against Clay County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Clay County is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. As for Red Boiling Springs, they will head out on the road to face off against Pickett County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Pickett County presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Red Boiling Springs in Tennessee (Pickett County is ranked 102nd, while Red Boiling Springs is ranked 271st).
