Recap: Midview Middies vs. Olmsted Falls Bulldogs
The Midview Middies pushed their score all the way to 31 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They lost to Olmsted Falls at home by a decisive 49-31 margin. Midview has struggled against Olmsted Falls recently, as their contest on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Midview still got an impressive performance from Ethan Elbert, who rushed for 143 yards and two touchdowns. Elbert was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 68 yards.
Midview's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Olmsted Falls, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.
Midview will head out on the road to face off against Highland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Highland presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Midview in Ohio (Highland is ranked 64th, while Midview is ranked 278th). As for Olmsted Falls, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Clay at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
