Baseball Game Preview: Lynn Camp Wildcats vs. Hancock County Indians

The Lynn Camp Wildcats will take on the Hancock County Indians at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lynn Camp has given up an average of 13.2 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Having struggled with nine defeats in a row, Lynn Camp turned things around against Cordia on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Lions, sneaking past 12-11. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Wildcats have posted since May 11, 2024.

Ethan Curry made a splash while hitting and pitching. He pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Lynn Camp is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 2-11 otherwise. Curry was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March.

Curry wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Darren Campbell, who went 3-for-4 with four stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. That's the most hits Campbell has posted since back in March.

Meanwhile, Hancock County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 8-2 to Fulton, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Lynn Camp picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 4-12. As for Hancock County, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-18.
