Football Recap: Albert Gallatin Starts off Right with Win over Greensburg Salem + How To Watch

Albert Gallatin gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 48-33 victory over the Greensburg Salem Golden Lions. Winning may never get old, but the Colonials sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row dating back to last season.

A big part of Albert Gallatin's win came down to the chemistry between Tee Guesman and his top target Adam Pegg. Guesman rushed for 150 yards and three TDs on only 14 carries while Pegg rushed for 125 yards and a pair of scores on only 11 carries. Those three rushing touchdowns gave Guesman a new career-high.

Albert Gallatin was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 434 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 156 rushing yards in ten consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

One reason for the win was Albert Gallatin's imposing defensive line, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Guesman, Jason Perrine, and Pierson Turner, who each picked up one sack apiece.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Albert Gallatin is packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will square off against Carrick at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. This will be the Colonials' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Greensburg Salem, they are taking a road trip to take on Ligonier Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
