Basketball Recap: Dontae Graham Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Arapahoe

Overland posted their closest win since December 18, 2024 on Wednesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Arapahoe Warriors 68-66. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Trailblazers also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Overland to victory, but perhaps none more so than Dontae Graham, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds. That's the most boards Graham has posted since back in February of 2024. Siraaj Ali was another key player, going 7 of 12 on his way to 21 points.

When it comes to explaining why Arapahoe lost, don't look at Miles McMonigle. Despite the final result, he went 10 for 16 en route to 28 points. Sam Kamstra also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

Overland pushed their record up to 7-9 with the win, which was their third straight at home. As for Arapahoe, the defeat snapped their winning streak at eight games and leaves them with a 13-3 record.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Overland will head out to take on Eaglecrest at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Eaglecrest will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Overland surely won't give up without a fight. As for Arapahoe, they will head out on the road to square off against Grandview at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Grandview is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.2 points per game this season.
