The Chesnee Eagles lost against the Greer Middle College Blazers back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Chesnee fell 32-25 to Greer Middle College.
When it comes to explaining why Chesnee lost, one person who can't be blamed is Pearl Holloway. Despite the final result, she scored six points along with seven rebounds and seven steals. Holloway hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Liana Kreydich, who scored four points along with four steals.
Chesnee's loss was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 2-18. As for Greer Middle College, their victory bumped their record up to 4-11.
Chesnee will look to defend their home court on Friday against Greenville Tech Charter at 6:30 p.m. Greenville Tech Charter is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak. As for Greer Middle College, Greer Middle College and Landrum will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 19th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Landrum presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Greer Middle College in South Carolina (Landrum is ranked 38th, while Greer Middle College is ranked 238th).
