Ryan Sullivan tossed a big game, tossing five innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits. What's more, he posted two strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024.
On the hitting side, Worcester Academy saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lucas Stockenberg, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI. That RBI marked the first that Stockenberg has brought in this season. Dushyant Singh was another, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI and one run.
Meanwhile, Dexter Southfield was able to grind out a solid victory over Marianapolis Prep on Friday, taking the game 4-1.
Lorcan Lee looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits any time he's pitched this season.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Patrick Bryan, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabe Malaret, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one double and one RBI.
Worcester Academy is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Dexter Southfield, their victory bumped their record up to 8-1.
