Soccer Recap: Stony Point Comes Up Short

Stony Point managed to keep up with McNeil until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Tigers lost 4-1 to the Mavericks. The loss leaves Stony Point still looking for their first win of the season.

Stony Point's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8-1. As for McNeil, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3-1 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Stony Point is set to square off against their familiar foe Cedar Ridge at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, McNeil will face off against rival Vandegrift at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
