Basketball Recap: North Judson-San Pierre Extends Road Winning Streak to Nine

North Judson-San Pierre won the last time they faced Triton and things went their way on Friday too. The North Judson-San Pierre Bluejays took down the Triton Trojans 55-37. Given the Bluejays' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 112th, while the Trojans are ranked 344th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

North Judson-San Pierre's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kyleigh Lehiy, who posted 11 points along with eight steals and seven rebounds. Lehiy is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Avaree Johnston, who went 5 for 10 en route to 15 points.

North Judson-San Pierre was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Triton only posted five assists.

Triton's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sydney King, who put up nine points and five boards. Another player making a difference was Avery Viers, who had nine points.

North Judson-San Pierre's win was their ninth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-4. As for Triton, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-22.
