Soccer Recap: Rock Island Comes Up Short

Rock Island lost against Moline back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Rocks came up short against the Maroons, falling 5-2. While losing is never fun, Rock Island can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 145th, while Moline are ranked 50th).

Rock Island's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 7-3-1. As for Moline, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-5.

Rock Island has already played their next matchup, a 5-0 defeat against De La Salle on the 3rd. As for Moline, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next match, a 1-0 loss against Washington on the 2nd.
