Oliviah Valdez put up the most strikeouts she's had since back in March of 2024 on Monday. She struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off eight hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances.

Coming up, Valdez and Walden Grove will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Mica Mountain at 4:00 p.m. Sadly, Valdez's big day wasn't enough to stop the loss, which snapped the Red Wolves' three-game streak of wins on the road.
