Soccer Recap: Olive Branch Gets the Win

Olive Branch had to skate by with only a one-goal margin when they last took the pitch, which might have inspired the seven-goal drubbing they dealt Magnolia Heights on Thursday. The Conquistadors never let the Chiefs get on the board and left with a 7-0 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Olive Branch also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2021.

Their offense was hitting Magnolia Heights from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Jeremiah Hughes led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

The win got Olive Branch back to even at 2-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Olive Branch will venture away from home to take on Horn Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Magnolia Heights, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Starkville Academy at 5:30 p.m. on the 18th.
