Basketball Recap: Page County Comes Up Short

Page County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were beaten by the Strasburg Rams 64-35. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 301st, while the Rams are ranked 104th).

Page County's defeat dropped their record down to 6-15. As for Strasburg, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 20-5.

Looking ahead, Page County will face off against Luray at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Page County is facing Luray at the right time seeing as Luray is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Strasburg, they will be playing at home against Central Woodstock at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Strasburg is on a three-game streak of home wins, Central Woodstock a four-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
