Basketball Recap: Sage Creek's Winning Streak Snapped at Three Games

After a string of three wins, Sage Creek's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 56-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Vista Murrieta Broncos. The game marked the Bobcats' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

When it comes to explaining why Sage Creek lost, don't look at Elijah Stephens. Despite the final result, he posted 18 points and seven rebounds. Stephens' afternoon made it 28 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Vaughn Young, who put up nine points.

Sage Creek's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Vista Murrieta, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-3.

Sage Creek wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 65-45 win against Eastlake on the 9th. Vista Murrieta has also already played their next game, a 91-86 defeat against Temecula Valley on the 8th.
