Softball Recap: Ridgemont Has No Trouble Against Mccomb

The Ridgemont Golden Gophers got the win against the McComb Panthers on Monday by a conclusive 15-5. The result was nothing new for the Golden Gophers, who have now won seven contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Brilynn Rudasill was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Albrey Bailey also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Ridgemont kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as McComb only managed five hits.

The victory got Ridgemont back to even at 9-9. As for McComb, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-12.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ridgemont will square off against Arcadia at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for McComb, they will be taking part in a tournament against Leipsic at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
