Basketball Game Preview: Topeka Trojans vs. Washburn Rural Blues

The Topeka Trojans will head out to take on the Washburn Rural Blues on Friday.

Topeka is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Manhattan just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell to the Indians 60-54.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Washburn Rural). They simply couldn't be stopped on Wednesday as they easily beat Junction City/St. Xavier 78-9. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Washburn Rural is also on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 8-3-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.8 points per game. As for Topeka, their loss dropped their record down to 9-4-1.
