 Maywood CES can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent  contest  on Thursday. They blew past the Maywood Academy Nighthawks 12-3. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for Maywood CES.
  Jose Luis Cruz made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound,   tossing three innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. Cruz was also big at the plate,  scoring two  runs and  stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.
 In other batting news, Maywood CES got a  massive  performance out of  Patrick Benavidez, who  scored two  runs and  stole four bases while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances. Benavidez is on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as he's  now  stolen  at least one in the last three games he's  played.  Hernan Ruiz was another key contributor,  scoring a  run and  stealing two bases while going 2-for-4.
 Maywood CES pushed their record up to 10-5 with that  victory, which was their seventh straight  at home dating back to last season. As for Maywood Academy,  this is  the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 3-2.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Maywood CES will take on Arleta at 1:00  p.m.  on Saturday. As for Maywood Academy, they will be playing at home against Sotomayor at 2:30  p.m.  on Monday. Sotomayor's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8  runs per game  this season, so Maywood Academy's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
