Softball Recap: Linden Continues Home Dominance on Friday

There's no place like home for Linden, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They never let the Riverbank Bruins get on the board and left with a 5-0 victory on Friday. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Bruins recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Linden got a great performance from Cambel Dunn as she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over 6.1 innings pitched. Dunn has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 13 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Millee Holguin, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.

Linden's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-6. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Riverbank, they are on an 18-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-23-1.
