Baseball Recap: Lake Comes Up Short

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Lake couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the Pisgah Dragons by a score of 7-6 on Friday. The Hornets haven't had much luck with the Dragons recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Lake's loss dropped their record down to 24-6. As for Pisgah, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-7 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Pisgah beat Lake by a score of 7-6 on Saturday.
