Basketball Recap: Atlanta Classical Academy Triumphs

Atlanta Classical Academy lost to Greenville back in January, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Atlanta Classical Academy Cavaliers snuck past the Greenville Patriots with a 32-26 victory.

Sally Berry continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, putting up 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mary Elizabeth Kirkland, who posted seven points.

Greenville's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ca'Tavia Bennett, who earned 11 points and six boards. Another player making a difference was Jamya Kelley, who put up six points and four steals.

Atlanta Classical Academy's win bumped their record up to 12-9. As for Greenville, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-3.

Atlanta Classical Academy has already played their next game, a 57-49 victory against Mt. Zion on the 11th. As for Greenville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 77-6 win against Elite Scholars Academy on the 8th.
