Volleyball Recap: Penney Comes Up Short

Penney was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Brookfield Bulldogs. If the Hornets were looking for revenge after losing 3-2 to the Bulldogs when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Penney was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Brookfield work for it, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 25-23, 25-14.

Penney's loss dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Brookfield, their victory ended a five-match drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-8.

Penney has already played their next match (against North Platte), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Brookfield, they will be playing at home against North Callaway at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
