Softball Recap: Adrian Takes a Loss

After flying high against Wellington-Napoleon last Monday, Adrian came back down to earth. Adrian lost 11-1 to the Butler Bears on Friday. The Blackhawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bears apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Adrian saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Harlee Newkirk, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Adrian's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Butler, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Looking ahead, Adrian will welcome Buffalo at 1:45 p.m. on Saturday. As for Butler, they will hit the road for the first time this season to challenge Warsaw at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
