Volleyball Recap: Chaparral Wins Going Away Against Rock Canyon

Chaparral had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Rock Canyon on Tuesday. The Wolverines were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Jaguars. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Wolverines also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Chaparral was especially dominant in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-12, 25-20.

Luke Vigil paced Chaparral's offense, picking up 17 kills. Vigil got some help from Ryan Carrizales and his 16 assists. Carrizales was also solid from the service line: he led the team with three aces.

Chaparral has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-11 record this season. As for Rock Canyon, they dropped their record down to 6-15 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

As of now, neither Chaparral nor the Jaguars have any future games scheduled.
