John Carroll was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Catholic on Friday. The Patriots were the clear victors by a 15-6 margin over Catholic. The victory continues a trend for the Patriots in their matchups with Catholic: they've now won seven in a row.

Kylie Hinkleman spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and two unearned) runs on five hits and racked up eight Ks.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Emily Hildt, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Billi Heinz was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three RBI and one run.

John Carroll's win bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Catholic, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.
