On Friday, University Lab faced St. Louis Catholic in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The University Lab Cubs sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the St. Louis Catholic Saints. The victory was familiar territory for the Cubs who have now won six games in a row.

University Lab pushed their record up to 7-0-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 16 goals over those six contests. As for St. Louis Catholic, they moved to 3-3-1 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Coincidentally, University Lab and St. Louis Catholic will both be playing E.D. White the next time they take the pitch. St. Louis Catholic will host E.D. White at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, while University Lab will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
