Softball Recap: Cape Fear Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Cape Fear can now relate to. They fell 5-2 to the Scotland Fighting Scots on Tuesday. Having soared to a lofty 17 runs in the game before, the Colts couldn't push the score so high this time.

Cape Fear saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Amari Adams, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. Adams has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played.

Cape Fear's loss dropped their record down to 22-6. As for Scotland, the win was the 25th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 26-1.

Cape Fear does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Scotland, they will take on South Central on Friday. The Falcons will roll in looking for their 13th straight victory, something the Fighting Scots surely won't give up without a fight.
